Well Being Weeks - Vitality Challenge

Vitality Challenge

THE VITALITY CHALLENGE

Do you treat your body like a luxury vehicle or a rental car? For our bodies and minds to function smoothly and serve us to achieve our goals, taking good care of ourselves needs to be our top priority. Health and energy are the most important thing, but also the first thing we take for granted especially when we are feeling healthy. We eat junk food, take too much alcohol, get ourselves stressed, spend hours in front of screens, and neglect sleep. We might feel like we adapted to this lifestyle but over time this may take a serious toll on our health and well-being.

The Vitality Challenge is there to motivate and support you to take care of yourself. To help you make decisions that will encourage you to get in your ultimate version of being healthy and fit. We will focus on enhancing your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

What to expect:

Workshop 15 March 13:00-15:00 (Room 5416.0057)

A workshop where we will discuss various theories and best practices and also reflect upon where you are now in terms of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, where you want to be, and what you are going to do to close the gap, setting specific goals for the coming 2 weeks.

Challenge. We will create a safe space for you – a community where you will be facilitated to reach your goals. We are there to encourage, motivate and support you every step of the way.

Round off the challenge and prize for the challenge winners. 24 March 13:00-14:00 (location to be confirmed)

At the end of the 2 weeks, we will get together again to share the experiences and give away nice prizes to the winners of the challenge who made the biggest personal progress or most active participation.

The challenge is facilitated by FEB student well-being officer and a healthy lifestyle junkie Ekaterina Glas, together with an amazing team consisting of an alumni Jeroen Zuidberg, who is training for his first marathon, and Kristiina Sau, who is enthusiastic about improving her performance and encouraging you to do the same.

Join us, it will be fun! Send an e-mail to j.b.zuidberg@student.rug.nl to register.
