ESR Budapest: competitiveness in a rapidly changing global environment

The European Study Research (ESR) is a unique opportunity to combine academic research, international business, and an unforgettable week abroad.

This year, ESR will take a group of 25 students, 2 professors, and 6 committee members to Budapest for a seven-day study trip!

During the project, the participating students will be divided into smaller subgroups. Each group will work together on a research project, focusing on a specific topic related to the Hungarian business environment. With the guidance of professors, students will conduct research and gain new insights into doing business in an international context.

The research is combined with visits to companies and organizations in Budapest, where students get the opportunity to learn more about the Hungarian economy and business culture in practice. This allows you to connect academic knowledge with real-world experiences and discover how businesses operate in another country.

But ESR is about more than research. Throughout the week, there will also be plenty of opportunities to explore Budapest, experience the local culture, and get to know the other participants. Before departure, several activities will be organized in Groningen to prepare for the research and get to know your fellow students.
