  Economic Development &amp\; Globalization\, The Master Committee has orga
 nized an exciting study trip from May 10th to May 13th! We’ll be heading
  to Ghent and Brussels to visit key institutions of the European Union and
  other international organizations\, while also taking plenty of time to e
 xplore these beautiful cities with your fellow students. Celebrate Your Th
 esis Draft — Join Us on an Unforgettable Study Trip to Gent &amp\; Bruss
 els! 🇧🇪 Just two days after your thesis draft deadline\, it’s time
  to switch gears and treat yourself to an inspiring four-day getaway! From
  May 10th to May 13th\, students from the (Pre-)Master in Economic Develop
 ment and Globalization are heading to Gent and Brussels — a trip filled 
 with discovery\, culture\, and exclusive insights into European institutio
 ns. Day 1: Saturday\, May 10 – Arrival in Gent We arrive in Gent around 
 15:00\, ready to dive into one of Belgium’s most beautiful cities. With 
 its fairytale canals\, medieval architecture\, and vibrant student atmosph
 ere\, Gent is the perfect place to relax and recharge. We’ll do some sig
 htseeing\, enjoy a group dinner\, and explore Gent’s legendary nightlife
  together. Day 2: Sunday\, May 11 – Ghent to Brussels Start your morning
  with a free breakfast at the hostel\, followed by more time to roam Gent
 ’s charming streets. Around 15:00\, we’ll head to Brussels\, where we
 ’ll be staying in a centrally located hostel (breakfast included). The r
 est of the day is yours to start soaking in the capital's sights\, culture
 \, and cuisine. Day 3: Monday\, May 12 – EU Institutions Day Monday kick
 s off with a visit to the European Commission\, where we’ll receive insi
 ghts into the Commission’s role within the EU. We’ll also get informat
 ive briefings on policies directly relevant to our field\, including devel
 opment &amp\; cooperation\, competition\, energy\, foreign and security po
 licy\, trade\, and economic affairs. In the afternoon\, we’ll visit the 
 European Economic and Social Committee\, learning how civil society helps 
 shape EU policy. Afterwards\, enjoy free time to explore Brussels — from
  the Grand Place and Magritte Museum to a stroll through charming neighbor
 hoods. Day 4: Tuesday\, May 13 – Global Labour &amp\; Farewell On our fi
 nal day\, we’ll visit the International Labour Organization\, where we
 ’ll discover how global labour standards and decent work policies are de
 veloped and promoted — an essential part of global development and econo
 mic justice. We’re also working on confirming an exciting extra visit to
  close off the trip — stay tuned!  Then\, we’ll head back home\, full
  of inspiration and great memories. This is the perfect opportunity to exp
 lore a European capital\, travel with fellow students\, make lifelong memo
 ries\, and gain valuable insights from major international organizations 
 — places where you might just find yourself working after your studies!
