IDP Committee

The International Development Project is responsible for coordinating a four-week research expedition to South Africa, strictly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Guidelines.

The IDP Committee is responsible for the successful preparation and execution of the project. Its responsibilities include logistics, acquisition and participant recruitment. The committee arranges accommodation, coordinates the practical preparations and ensures that the programme in South Africa runs smoothly from start to finish.

In addition, the committee manages the full participant selection process, including applications and interviews, with the aim of forming a motivated and well-balanced group. To strengthen the group dynamic before departure, the committee organises social activities and dinners, which allowes participants to get to know one another and prepare together for the life-changing experience ahead!

Committee recruitment 2026-2027

The IDP Committee consists of six members, each with their own role. Recruitment takes place in May. Together, the committee is responsible for preparing and organising the International Development Project, which runs from mid-April to mid-May of the following year.

During the summer and the first semester, the committee arranges flights and accommodation, approaches companies and secures partnerships, develops the research theme and promotes the project.
The committee also conducts interviews and recruits a group of 15 students to take part in the project.

The IDP journey begins in February 2027. Every Monday, participants will join together for a lecture, dinner, and a social activity.
