International Business Research is a project run by students of the EBF and the University of Groningen. Each year, 20-24 students conduct research for Dutch companies in growing economies.
International Business Research is a project run by students of the EBF and the University of Groningen. Each year, IBR conducts research for Dutch companies in growing economies. This year’s destinations of the International Business Research project are Colombia and Ecuador. The project concerns research that you will conduct for a Dutch company. The preparation phase starts in November, during which you will prepare the research. During your stay abroad (April-June), you will conduct the field research for a period of five weeks. After this, you have the chance to explore the country by travelling in small groups for another five weeks; you’ll be abroad for a total of 10 weeks!

International Business Research is a project run by students of the EBF and the University of Groningen. During the project, students conduct research for Dutch companies in growing economies outside of Europe. The entire project consists of 24 participants and one board, consisting of 7 board members. After a year of preparation, you will travel to the country of destination to conduct research for 5 weeks and thereafter travel for another 5 weeks.
In the past, IBR has travelled to countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, India, China, Thailand, Brazil, Myanmar, Indonesia, Mexico and Argentina. Every year, the Executive Board decides upon their own destination based on several criteria and in close collaboration with other relevant parties. This year, we chose Colombia & Ecuador as our destinations.
