Do you want to prepare yourself for your future career?

The EBF Skills Day, organised on the 9th of March 2022, is to give the EBF Members and the students of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) the chance to develop themselves professionally! The event will consist of different workshops that will give you more insight in what to expect in your career and how to prepare for that. The deadline to sign up is on the 8th of March 2022 at 23.59!

Sign up for the different workshops offered, you can sign up for as many as you want:

  • Mohamoud Harir (FEB Career Services): Job Interview Training - 13.00-15.00

  • Young Advisory Group: Personality Case Training - 13.00-15.00

  • Mohamoud Harir (FEB Career Services): Job Search Strategy Workshop - 15.00-17.00

  • Tristan Hofman: Personal Branding & Pitch Training - 15.00-17.00

  • 10th of March 2022: HelloTest: EBF/FEB E-Assessment Training - 9.00-13.00

Important to know: You do not have to be present for the whole day! You can sign up for the workshops you would like to attend!

FEB Career Services: CV check - 11.00-13.00

It is important to make your CV stand out for your future career. In the CV Check, Mohamoud will help you to improve your CV! The following issues will be addressed in this training:

  • the basics of a CV format and required content

  • the perspectives of an employer

  • how to personalize your CV to make you stand out from the crowd and get that job you desire

FEB Career Services: Job Interview Training - 13.00-15.00

For your future career, it is important to feel strong in a job interview. In this workshop we provide you with information and tips and tricks to be successful in a job interview. Issues that will be addressed are:

  • what to expect from a job interview

  • the best way to prepare yourself

  • the code of conduct

  • frequently asked questions

  • how to handle difficult questions

  • feedback on mock-interview sessions.

FEB Career Services: Job Search Strategy Workshop - 11.00-13.00

The actual job search is the most important stage in the career development process. The time and hard work that you have invested in self-assessment and networking , should now pay dividends.

Young Advisory Group: Personality Case Training - 13.00-15.00

The Young Advisory Group outlines the different personality types that exist within teams and gives an insight into how these personalities are able to complement eachother in order to build effective teams. The training will provide participants with an opportunity for reflection to understand their strengths, opportunities and points of improvement. We hope you will enjoy this training and that it will make your team even more effective.

Tristan Hofman: Personal Branding & Pitch Training - 15.00-17.00

Storytelling & Presenting to stand out to employers

After years of studying, doing extracurricular activities, working and preparing yourself, you are ready to enter the labor market. But, the most attractive jobs are popular, making competition fierce.

How do you ensure that you stand out from the rest when talking to potential employers? What is the story that will convince them you are the right candidate? And, when it is your time to shine, how do you effectively communicate that story?

In this workshop, two main things will be worked on:

  1. Defining your story
  2. Practicing presenting that story

At the end of this workshop you will have tangible results and insights that you can instantly use to level up your attractiveness for future employers!

10th of March 2022: EBF/FEB E-Assessment Training - 9.00-13.00

Do you want to prepare yourself for the application procedure of your future (dream) job? Then the EBF/FEB Online E-Assessment Training is the perfect event for you!

Many companies nowadays include an E-Assessment in their application procedures. An online assessment or e-assessment is sometimes used to take (parts of) an assessment. Questionnaires and online ability tests can be completed at home or in a controlled environment. Components that often are included in the E-assessment tests of Companies are:

  • IQ Tests

  • Numerical Reasoning

  • Logic Reasoning

  • Verbal Reasoning
