Henk Waninge (Head of Netherlands | Emma – The Sleep Company)

Henk Waninge is the Head of Netherlands at Emma – The Sleep Company, with the goal of driving growth in the Dutch market and beyond. He completed his studies in International Economics and Business at the University of Groningen and holds a master's degree in Applied Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He worked for almost six years in the consulting management field, and, before joining Emma – The Sleep Company, he was Country Manager in the health industry, where he was responsible for operations and further development of B2C and B2B products. 

In 2020, he joined Emma – The Sleep Company taking over the strategic projects for the Netherlands and with the desire to drive impact on customer’s life. His main mission is to turn Emma into the number one sleep expert brand in the Netherlands, Europe and beyond and thus to improve customer’s sleep. He wants to wake up the industry, by setting breaking standards with customer value and experience at the heart of each decision. Besides, as a true team leader, he aspires to grow his team by embracing each other’s differences, challenge openly and allowing them to entrepreneurially explore to maximize their impact.
