Every year, Wagenborg welcomes students for company visits, shadow days and guest lectures. During these activities, it becomes clear how fleet planning, terminal processes and offshore work depend on each other. Students see the daily reality: using a fleet of more than 150 vessels, preparing offshore operations, or organising safe and efficient cargo handling on the terminals. These tasks show how important teamwork and accuracy are.

Graduation projects with guidance and clear content 

Wagenborg offers graduation projects that match current questions in logistics, market analysis, sustainability and technical development of the fleet and operations. Internships take place in Delfzijl, Groningen or at other operational locations in the Netherlands or abroad. Students work on real projects where long‑term thinking and future readiness are part of the work.

Junior roles that build skills step by step

Starters can join Wagenborg through junior positions in Shipping, Offshore or Stevedoring. “Starters quickly get tasks where their decisions matter,” says HR adviser Maaike Smit. “You learn the work by doing it, together with colleagues who work with care and help each other improve.”
